Generation Obama? Perhaps Not.
in The New York Times by William Kristol, 17 March 2008
Kristol argues that Barack Obama is increasingly coming across as a typically self-interested, duplicitous politician, pointing to the way Obama apparently used a Chicago ministry to boost his local standing while distancing himself from the pastor's controversial preachings. And Obama isn't helped by his official website, which arrogantly labels today's youth as "Generation Obama." But whatever your political views, this column simply doesn't work: the two points are too flimsy a base to sustain Kristol's suggestion of a consistent pattern of behavior.
